Getting The Most Out of a Single Visit
to a Salad Bar

  1. Review entire salad bar to map out
    strategy.
  2. Spread lettuce out so that is
    evenly distributed and not heaping.
  3. Stack carrot and celery sticks
    around perimeter to contain
    spillage.
  4. Layer toppings evenly over base of
    lettuce in an effort to go vertical in
    cylindrical fashion (versus conical)
    to prevent spilling.
  5. Leave heavy stuff for last to
    stabilize pile.
